The Inhumane Treatment of Britain’s Longest Serving Serial Killer
Richard Maudsley was born into abusive life. There is even an element that people believe his treatment is unjust.

First Murder

In 1974, John Farrell picked the young Maudsley up for sex. To impress the young man, the thirty-year-old, showed him photos of children he had abused. Maudsley lured him into a public toilet and using a garrotte he made from the man’s tie, he strangled him. He then walked to the local police station and gave himself up, making a full confession, he asked for psychiatric help.

Whilst waiting for trial, a doctor examined him and found him unfit to stand trial. He was sent to Broadmoor where he became a serial killer.
