Brahan Seer, Scotland’s own ‘Nostradamus'
Scotland has its very own version of Nostradamus in the form of Brahan Seer, a legendary prophet who is said to have predicted many significant events in Scottish history.

The Battle of Culloden, 1746

Nearly a century ahead of the tragic Battle of Culloden, Dark Kenneth reportedly dropped to his knees on the moorlands and uttered a prophetic statement: "Oh! Drumossie, thy bleak moor shall, ere many generations have passed away, be stained with the best blood of the Highlands. Glad am I that I will not see the day, for it will be a fearful period; heads will be lopped off by the score, and no mercy shall be shown or quarter given on either side." This eerie prediction was believed to foretell the harrowing events that unfolded, resulting in the loss of 1250 Jacobite soldiers.
