Witchcraft & Wicca: A Journey through Gerald Gardner’s Mystical Patch

Gardner’s interaction with the New Forest Coven gave birth to Wicca – the witchcraft-based faith that would revolutionize occult practices worldwide. As World War II ended, the Witchcraft Acts, which made it illegal to claim magical powers or practice witchcraft, were repealed. This presented Gardner with the opportunity to openly promote his spirituality.

Gardner penned down 'Witchcraft Today', offering his understanding and experiences of witchcraft practices, and centralizing the Goddess as the focus of pagan worship. He believed in the duotheistic worship of a Horned God and a Mother Goddess and advocated for celebrating nature and the seasons through eight annual festivals known as 'sabbats.'
